Adhesion [əd`hiː.ʒən] – (Latin adhaesio – stick to) steady attachment of solid or liquid bodies (phases) of different types, the surfaces of which are in contact. Adhesion is the result of intermolecular interaction.
Ex. High adhesion is due to the presence of synthetic rubber as the main component.
