An adsorption pump

An adsorption pump [ən  ædˈsɔːrpʃən  `pʌmp]– a vacuum pump, the process is based on the physical adsorption of the pumped gas on the surface of the adsorbent. Mainly used adsorbent is zeolites, less – silica gels and activated carbon. To enhance adsorption, the adsorbent is cooled with liquid nitrogen.

Ex. The adsorption pump effectively removes contaminants from the mining site, enhancing air quality within the underground workspaces.
