Eutectic

Eutectic /juːˈtɛktɪk/ – (Greek. Utektos – easily liquefiable) – a thin mixture of solid substances that simultaneously crystallize from a solution at a temperature below the melting point; A liquid metal solution in which crystallization occurs is called a eutectic (liquid eutectic). Ledeburit can be an example of Euteutics.

Ex.Cooling between the threshold temperature and the eutectic imbibition temperature is carried out rapidly so as to avoid uncontrolled migration of the imbibiting material.
