Geocoder– [dʒiːˈəʊˌkəʊdər] the process of converting an address or location description into geographic coordinates (such as latitude and longitude) or vice versa. Geocoders can be used to locate a place on a map, to find the address of a place based on its coordinates, or to find nearby places based on a given location.
