Percolated deposit [ˈpɜːkə leɪtɪd dɪˈpɒzɪt] (an infiltration deposit ) – a deposit formed when the rocks are loosened and massaged under the influence of rain, snow and surface water, and the water falls to the lower layer through the cracks of the rocks.
Ex. Percolated deposits are a unique type of ore deposit where minerals accumulate as a result of a long process of water filtering through the rock. For example, gold is often found in infiltration deposits, where it precipitates from dissolved solutions in an oxidation zone.
