Oxidation /ˌɒksɪˈdeɪʃən/ – oxidation of the surface layers of metal products by chemical or electrochemical treatment or by exposure to air at high temperatures. Formed oxide films protect objects (made of aluminum and magnesium alloys) from corrosion or are used as decoration.
