Automatic blocking

Automatic blocking [ɔːtəˈmætɪk blɒkɪŋ] – automatic change of the object’s operating mode to prevent an accident; a set of automatic devices that eliminate errors when monitoring the operation of machines, equipment and tools. Automatic blocking allows to protect employees and equipment in case of industrial accidents and maintain a given system state in relay circuits.

Ex. If one of the automatic line units is faulty or its operating mode is disrupted, the automatic blocking immediately stops it.
