Brassing /ˈbræsɪŋ/ – covering the surface of metal (mainly steel) objects with a thin (several microns) layer consisting of copper (70%) and zinc (30%). Mainly, it is carried out electrogalvanically, i.e. by depositing copper in a galvanic bath.
